Fillet

2026-5-25 about 2 minutes

The Fillet tool rounds the edges or corners of a solid in the Part module. By applying a radius to selected edges, smooth transition features can be created such as edge fillets and corner fillets.

Steps:

  1. Select the fillet type: "Constant" or "Variable".

  2. Select the edges or faces to be filleted.

  3. Select the dimension type: "Symmetric" or "Asymmetric".

  4. Set the fillet radius.

Fillet Type

Type: Constant

Generates fillet features with a constant radius.

Steps:

  1. Select the features to be filleted.

  2. Select the dimension type.

  3. Enter the fillet radius.

  4. (Optional) Enable "Tangent Extension" to make the fillet extend along the tangent direction of adjacent faces.

Type: Variable

Support setting different fillet radius along the selected edge.

Steps:

  1. Select the features to be filleted.

  2. Select the dimension type.

  3. Select different control points and set the radius at each point.

  4. (Optional) Enable "Tangent Extension" to allow the fillet to extend along the tangent direction of adjacent faces.

Dimension Type

Type: Symmetric

Creates a symmetric rounded transition between two adjacent faces, with the same fillet distance applied on both sides of the selected edge.

Select "Symmetric".

Type: Asymmetric

Creates an asymmetric rounded transition between two adjacent faces, with different fillet distances applied on each side of the selected edge.

Steps:

  1. Select "Asymmetric".

  2. (Optional) Click the "Reverse" button to switch the direction.
