Fastened

The Fastened mate locks two mate objects together. It keeps their relative position and orientation fixed, so the connected components cannot move relative to each other.

Steps

  1. Press M or click the "New Mate" icon to enter mate mode.

  2. Create a mate:

    1. Select a pair of mate objects in the graphics area..

    2. Select "Fastened" in the Mate menu. The two objects become fastened automatically.

    3. (Optional) Click the Filp button to reverse the alignment direction of the mating faces.

  3. Press Esc or click the "New Mate" icon again to exit mate mode.

  • Click the mate node in the structure tree to modify its mate objects, offset value, or rotation angle.
