View industriesThe Perpendicular mate keeps two mate objects at a 90-degree angle. It is used to define the orientation of components in an assembly. The components may still move if their remaining degrees of freedom are not fully constrained.
Press M or click the "New Mate" icon to enter mate mode.
Create a mate:
Select a pair of mate objects in the graphics area.
Select "Perpendicular" in the Mate menu. The two objects become perpendicular automatically.
(Optional) Click the Filp button to reverse the alignment direction of the mating faces.
Press Esc or click the "New Mate" icon again to exit mate mode.
