Parallel

The Parallel mate keeps two mate objects parallel to each other. It is used to define the orientation of components in an assembly. The components may still move if their remaining degrees of freedom are not fully constrained.

Steps

1. Press M or click the "New Mate" icon to enter mate mode.

2. Create a mate:

   1. Select a pair of mate objects in the graphics area.

   2. Select "Parallel" in the Mate menu. The two objects become parallel automatically.

   3. (Optional) Click the Filp button to reverse the alignment direction of the mating faces.

3. Press Esc or click the "New Mate" icon again to exit mate mode.
